Rattlesnake Seal Company Ring

Back in 2012, a young gentleman wanted to create a signet ring with a company seal. In this seal a rattlesnake is wrapped around the US flag. I don’t know anything about the company except that it is over a century old I.E. founded in 1865 as written on the sides. I never ask more questions than the client is willing to share hence this will remain a mystery for now (or over a decade). To my knowledge only Philadelphia Union soccer club has a logo with US flag and a snake that doesn’t look like this. Either way, it was a pleasure creating this unique piece of art for the mysterious client.

Even though this ring is not very complicated in design it was very challenging to produce because of it’s relatively small size and the fact that I was not as experienced at that time. The snake’s rattle is less than 2mm long. For that reason, the miniature stars on the flag could not resolve well. However, to the naked eye it was quite sharp and the client was happy!
